Father ∫ Son
An epistolary novel written as email, text and written exchanges between a middle-aged father and his adult son, estranged from each other since the son’s birth. The father, Dave, a surgeon soon facing retirement, discovers through Gabe, his poet son, a penchant for drawing and then painting. The son reveals his struggle to leave lucrative film script re-writing and pursue his poetry. Both confide in each other relationship issues about a transgender girlfriend, infidelities, a homosexual romance, and the personal costs of their long-lost relationship. Though once apart, both come to grow together.
